Neymar escapes Death after crashing his £240K Ferrari

Barcelona and Brazil star, Neymar, is a lucky man after escaping a crash without a scratch. The 24yr old was on his way to the training ground to join his teammates for the journey to a league game when his Ferrari 458 Italia slipped on the wet surface, skidded off the road and spun around to face oncoming traffic.

Club official, Pepe Costa came to the rescue picking the player up and ensuring that he reached the training ground in time to take the team coach to the airport. The mercurial attacker was however unable to help his team to all three points last night as Barcelona played out a draw at Real Sociedad. The result leaves them six points behind league leaders Real Madrid ahead of this coming weekend's el clasico showdown.

New Formula 1 champion

Nico Rosberg has beaten his teammate, Lewis Hamilton to this year's Formula 1 title following the season's final race in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The German only needed to finish third to clinch the title after building up a 12 point lead going into this race. He went one better and finished second behind his Mercedes teammate Hamilton whose first place win counted for nothing.

It is Rosberg's first Formula 1 win and in doing so, he follows in the footsteps of his father, Keke who ruled the racing world in 1982.

Wine flowed freely as the German was joined in his celebrations by his father, mother, Sina and wife, Vivian Sibold. Speaking on the podium after his win he said:
‘It feels like I have been racing Lewis for ever and he has always managed to just edge me out, even when we were small in go-karts,’ ‘He is an amazing driver and one of the best in history, so it is just unbelievably special to beat him. That makes this so much more satisfying because he set the benchmark and I took the world championship from him.’
When Hamilton whined about the technical faults that hampered his title chances, he was rebuked by Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel who told him that it was a ‘sign of respect and greatness to say he is a deserving champion’. He also pointed out that at different times over the years bad luck has visited them all.

Man spotted in Kenya as Jesus look-alike, react to crucifixion threat

The Jesus look-alike who caused a stampede after he was spotted walking
barefooted in the downtown Nairobi on Wednesday, has come out to react
to a crucifixion threat. Many might be assuming he is a beggar wandering
around the country to seek help, but the Jesus look-alike is actually a
traveler, whose name is Daniel Christos from Perth in Australia.

Friday, he took to his Facebook account to share a snapshot, where a
Facebook user (Mook Carter III), hilariously said they are planning to
set up a committee to get and crucify him together with two thieves.

According to Christos, he said the people have welcomed him with so much
enthusiasm since arriving Kenya from Ethiopia, but became uncomfortable
to walk on the street of Nairobi after seeing the hilarious threat on
social media.

Read his full post and see more photos of him after the cut....

I arrived in Kenya less than 2 weeks ago from Ethiopia and have been
welcomed with so much enthusiasm like I've never experienced before in
my life. In fact, it's been so extreme that it's been a little
overwhelming. Every single corner I walk on in Nairobi I have noticed
someone either taking a photo or video while hundreds of times a day I
hear people calling out "Jesus!".

Kenyan people, in general, have been very friendly and loving. Until I
find this photo of me circulating online. I feel a little concerned by
this person's comments. I don't know who wrote it and I don't know if it
was just a joke or if they were serous, but it has made me a little
uncomfortable to walk in the streets of Nairobi.
I shouldn't have to respond to such close minded nonsense but a quick
message to whoever posted the photo and comment... I AM NOT JESUS! I
HAVE NEVER PRETENDED TO BE. I am a traveler who has come to your country
as a visitor, i would hope that one day if Jesus does return you treat
him with a little more respect than you have treated me.

To everyone else, you are a beautiful people, I love you!

Man is found not guilty of raping his pregnant girlfriend while she was in labour

A man who was accused by his girlfriend of raping her while she was
heavily pregnant and in labour, has been found not guilty of the rape
charge on Friday, after a half an hour deliberation, following a
five-day trial at Hull Crown Court.

The man allegedly attacked his partner while she was naked, on her hands
and knees trying to relieve the pain of her contractions after going
into labour at home in Hull, East Yorkshire.

The couple, who had been together for seven years, cannot be named for legal reasons.

Prosecutor Michael Greenhalgh told the court the woman entered the
'advanced stages of labour' while the couple were in bed at around
11.30pm. The man had fallen asleep but his girlfriend had not because
she was having labour pains.

Mr Greenhalgh said:

'She was in bed, naked as she normally would be.
'In order to try and relieve the pressure and the pain of the
contractions, she got onto all fours because she had been told that was a
way of relieving the pain.

'She was in that position when the defendant woke up. He saw her naked
on all fours and said 'I feel horny', to which she replied 'are you
serious?'. 'The defendant then got behind her and started having sex
with her.'

The man was accused of continuing to have sex with his partner even as she cried out in pain and begged him to stop.

After she gave birth to their baby, the woman stayed with her mother
because the heating at the couple's property was broken. However, when
she returned home, she made the rape allegations to her family and
police.

The man denied the allegations and was cleared of the charge.

The court heard initial texts between the pair after the birth were of
affection and excitement because of their child, but that the tone soon
changed when she went back home.

MMM approved by CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria governor has approved the operation of Russian ponzi scheme, MMM, and has called on all Nigerians to take advantage of the
awoof .
Since the beginning of the year, the Mavrodi Mondial Movement organisation has helped many Nigerians get out of poverty by dashing them up to 30% interest when they invest in it.
It has generated a lot of controversy within the country, and the EFCC had warned people not to put their money into it. The participants of the scheme have also blasted the EFCC for poking their nose into the affairs of well meaning foreigners that have come to rescue them from money issues.
In a statement given to our reporter in the parking lot of the CBN Headquarters in Abuja, the CBN governor allayed the fears of skeptical Nigerians and disclosed that thorough checks carried out on the organisation show that it is a legitimate investment facility. A top official at the Ministry of Finance confided in us that even the federal government has invested the sum of N100b in it so that the interest of N30b can be reinvested in capital projects across the nation.
As a result, a friend has sold his belongings to raise money for MMM. He is confident that in four weeks, he too would have hammered. We will bring you reports on how that goes.

Robots that can fly planes

PiBot is a robot designed to fly existing planes without any modifications, and could be used in areas that are too dangerous for human pilots.
The next time you fly, your pilot might be a robot.
Researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology have developed a robot that can fly a plane all by itself . Their pilot robot, called PiBot, is not just fancy autopilot. It can turn on the engine, taxi, take off, land, and navigate all by itself.
The most impressive aspect of PiBot is that it doesn't require any modifications to a standard airplane in order to fly it. It's capable of operating the wheel, throttle, rudder pedals, and all the switches and levers in a typical airplane cockpit.

Who Donald Trump should appoint to the Supreme Court

Questions about the Supreme Court never rank very highly on American voters' list of concerns. But if there was one issue this election that kept Republicans in Donald Trump's corner even at his worst, it was the fear that handing Hillary Clinton the ability to fill Justice Antonin Scalia's seat would cost conservatives the Supreme Court for a generation.
Brett Talley
Saving the Supreme Court became for many the chief argument for Trump's candidacy, and Trump produced not one but two lists of jurists he would consider should he win the election. These candidates were highly qualified and uniformly conservative. But the Never Trump wing of the Republican Party didn't buy it. They argued that conservatives were naĂŻve to think Trump would keep his word, speculating that any picks he would actually make would be as bad if not worse than Hillary Clinton's.
Now that Trump has won, we are about to find out who was right. Trump's decision will determine not only the future of the Court, but also the future of his presidency. Stumble here, and Trump could immediately lose the critical support he'll need to advance his agenda.
Fortunately for him, the choice is not a particularly difficult one. Trump should nominate the first person he named the day Scalia died: Judge Bill Pryor of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, who is from my state of Alabama.
Judge Bill Pryor is on President-elect Trump's list of potential Supreme court nominees.
Pryor's qualifications are beyond dispute. He is considered a brilliant legal scholar and is widely respected in conservative circles. None other than President Barack Obama — who likely agrees with Pryor on precisely nothing — nominated him to sit on the United States Sentencing Commission, a position to which he was unanimously confirmed by the Senate.
But unlike every other current member of the court, he didn't graduate from an Ivy League law school, didn't spend his entire career in New York or Washington and has real world experience, having served as attorney general of Alabama. And Pryor is a conservative; he is a pre-eminent defender of federalism, the separation of powers, and deciding cases based on the original meaning of the Constitution.
Which is not to say that Pryor's nomination would be received with universal acclamation. Far from it. Pryor would be a controversial pick on the left. During the Bush administration, Democrats filibustered his nomination to the 11th Circuit, and he was only confirmed as part of a grand bargain that saved the filibuster for judicial nominations — until the Democrats eliminated it for all but Supreme Court slots during the Obama administration. There would be pressure on Sen. Chuck Schumer to lead a similar blockade now.

Obama: Trump tapped into a 'troubling' strain

Athens, Greece (CNN)President Barack Obama issued a warning Tuesday against "crude nationalism" in the wake of Donald Trump's victory, saying during a news conference on his final overseas trip that the President-elect had tapped into a "troubling" strain of rhetoric playing on Americans' fears of globalization to win the presidency.
Speaking in Athens, Obama said he recognized an "anger and fear in the American population" over threats of mechanization and globalization, but that Republican officials didn't use facts when making their case about the US economy.

Man sues ex-fiancée for $125,000 ring

Amy Bzura and Bradley Moss were looking forward to a happy marriage and long life together. The couple were set to marry this past October 29, but they broke off their engagement and cancelled their wedding and are now going to court, not to get married but to fight, as Moss is suing Bzura for the return of the $125,000 engagement ring he gave her.
As reported in the New York Post, the New York City-based couple had been dating for more than three years when Moss proposed to Bzura on Nov. 7, 2015, according to court documents. He proposed to her with a beautiful square emerald-cut diamond engagement ring which cost him $125,000.

After the wedding was called off, Moss demanded the return of the ring in early November. According to the court document, “the suit calls for the return of the ring, or its value in cash, with interest, along with punitive damages determined by the court.”

FindLaw, an online legal resource, wrote a post that relevant gift-giving laws are determined state by state, and most states have adopted a no-fault approach to determining if a betrothed must return an engagement ring. Which means the courts in these states don’t like to get caught up in the whys and wherefores:
“They view the relationship as private and therefore none of their business. If the engagement is broken, the giver gets the ring back, regardless of who or why.”
New York is one of these states so that could be bad news for Amy Bzura.

Scientists say eating garlic makes men smell more attractive to women

A nice smell is not what comes to mind when you think of garlic but according to science, the pungent vegetable makes men smell attractive to women. This is according to a study published in Hansanugrum & Barringer. Participants were given varying amounts of garlic to eat over the course of a week – and 'odour' pads to wear during the course of the experiment.
Women then sniffed the men who had eaten two cloves of garlic, and men who’d eaten four cloves for a week. The women rated the men in terms of attractiveness, pleasantness, intensity, and masculinity, the men who ate more garlic scored higher. According to Professor Craig Roberts who lead the study, this could be related to its health benefits. Garlic is packed with nutrients which help keep the body healthy and boost athletic performance amongst other benefits.

Roberts said: “Our results indicate that garlic consumption may have positive effects on the pleasure derived from perceived body odour perhaps due to its health effects.
"From an evolutionary perspective, formation of preferences for diet-associated body odours was possibly shaped by means of sexual selection.
"Previous research indicates that many animal species use diet-associated cues to select mates in good physical condition.
"As the health benefits of garlic consumption include antioxidant, immunostimulant, cardiovascular, bactericidal and anti-cancer effects, it is plausible that human odour preferences have been shaped by sexual selection."
Careful with oral hygiene if you're going to be eating plenty of the stuff in order to attract the ladies, there's such a thing as garlic breath.

‘It took us ten days to count the N1.2b cash collected by Agbele, Fayose’s aide’-bank witness confesses.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on today, November 14, 2016, continued the examination of its first prosecution witness, Alade Oluseye Sunday, on a case of alleged fraud against Abiodun Agbele, an aide to the Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja.
According to a statement released by the agency, Alade, a manager and Branch Head of the Zenith Bank Plc., Akure, whose evidence started on Thursday, October 27, 2016, maintained that the sum of N1, 219,490,000 (one billion, two hundred and nineteen million, four hundred and ninety thousand naira) conveyed to the bank via two aircrafts were handed over to him by the first defendant (Agbele). He said; "The money was mostly in N1000 notes while the rest were in N500 notes. Agbele gave us the instruction to transfer the monies to different accounts. Some were paid into De Privateer Limited, some into Spotless investment limited while some where paid into Ayodele Fayose’s account”, Alade confessed.

The witness, while reading from exhibit AA1B stated that, N100million was credited to ‘Spotless Investments,’ N219.490million was credited to ‘De Privateer Limited’, another N300million was credited to ‘De Privateer Limited’, another N200million was credited to ‘De Privateer Limited’, N200million was also credited to ‘De Privateer Ltd’, N137million was credited to ‘Ayodele Fayose’s account’ while the balance N263 million was taken by Abiodun Agbele to Ado Ekiti. I saw Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, come down from the aircraft to speak with Agbele”, he said.

Under cross-examination by Agbele’s counsel, Mike Ozekome, Alade maintained that he had never met the first defendant and had never discussed any money matters with him prior to June 2014; “I got worried when I saw the huge amount of money conveyed by the aircrafts that day. It took us ten working days to count the money and each day, the uncounted sum is stored in the strong room as ‘boxed’ cash”, he said.
However, when asked whether he reported the transaction as suspicious to any authority, the witness, Mr. Alade, admitted that he did not because it was not his job to do so.

The case has been adjourned to November 17, 2016 for further hearing. Meanwhile, Agbele is facing an 11-count charge for allegedly diverting N4.6billion from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. Source: EFCC Official Facebook page.

Nigeria may face famine in January, Presidency warns

Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba yesterday warned that Nigeria could face famine in January if drastic steps are not taken now.‎ Garba who gave the warning when he spoke at a radio station in kano yesterday, said Nigerian farmers are exporting most of their food products instead of making it readily available for consumption in Nigeria.

"Huge demand for our grains in the global market is creating an excellent environment for the mindless export of Nigerian grains across our borders and unless this is curtailed, Nigerian markets will be bereft of food by January next year. ‎ Over the past year, Providence has blessed Nigeria with a bountiful harvest of grains, more than enough to feed the country and to export to other countries. At present, there is a high demand for grains from Nigeria, from African countries as distant as Libya and Algeria, and from places as far away as Brazil. However, the ministry of agriculture has raised concerns about a massive rate of exportation, which could lead to a shortage of grains in Nigeria by January. President Muhammadu Buhari is not in any way opposed to or intent on tampering with that. On the other hand, exporters also have a moral obligation to make their produce available to Nigerians who live within our country’s borders, to ensure that our citizens have access to food” he said. Garba said that the ministry of agriculture estimated that no fewer than 500 trucks laden with grain leave Nigerian markets every week, headed for countries outside Nigerian borders. “The major markets involved in this exportation are: the Dawanau market in Kano, Naigatari in Jigawa, Bama in Borno, and Ilela in Sokoto, as well as three other main markets in Kebbi State,” he said.
